Sainsburys

Just to give an idea of what my range of sainsburys bags would look like on someones shoulder I have attached string to the bag but this will not be the final material that I go for..it will be coloured oilcloth.

Cath Kidson bags have been a great inspiration to me in the way in which I wanted my Sainsburys bags to look like...I looked on the Cath Kidson website to see what materials were used for the bags and the one that stood out to be as being the most appropriate was Oil Cloth...this would be easily cleanable and strong to be able to carry the shopping bought from sainsburys. The only negative I can think about using Oil cloth is the fact that it is not really environmentally friendly but then again it is better than using a carrier bag and with these sort of bags you can use them over and over again and they last for years.

Creative interactive ways of producing a bag...i think using this style for a new range of sainsbury's bags would work really well!

I have posted loads of existing bags that are out there, for example asda and tesco. I wanna get a feel of what people are buying and using. Overall the designs are quite simple and colours are kept to a minimal.

Images taken from the Sainsbury's website...looking at existing type, imagery and colours to get a feel for the brand.

“Our aim with this project has been to use our influence to make it fashionable not to use plastic bags. ‘I’m Not A Plastic Bag’ was designed to be a stylish, practical, reusable bag that would raise awareness of this issue and spark debate. We feel that we have achieved this aim beyond our wildest dreams. For more information about where the bags was made etc"

I'm not a plastic bag designed by Anya Hindmarch where by her bags were sold in Sainsbury's to reduce number of plastic bags being used!

Our customers are increasingly concerned about the
quality of the food they buy, where it comes from and
how healthy it is for them. Being the best for food and
health means offering products that are healthy, safe,
fresh and tasty.
